Arrangement album includes an original track composed by Noriyuki Iwadare.
Pre-orders for Twelve Doors: Tribute to Noriyuki Iwadare are available now from music label Wayô Records’ online store.
The album is a tribute to composer Noriyuki Iwadare – known for his work on the Grandia and Lunar series of role-playing games – and features violin and piano arrangements of his music from titles such as Grandia, Grandia II, Grandia Xtreme, Amagami, Lunar: Eternal Blue, Lunar: The Silver Star, and Langrisser.
The release comprises 12 tracks that have been arranged by Iwadare, violinist Shauno Isomura, pianist Benyamin Nuss, composer Michiru Ôshima (of Ico and the Legaia series), conductor-arranger Eric Roth (of A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY), pianist Ben Gailer, and pianist-violinist Sophia Lai. The arrangements are performed by Isomura on violin and Nuss on piano.
The album includes an arrangement of “SENSE”, a track from Iwadare’s 2003 concept album Ingmar -for the beginning-, and ends with an original track that’s been composed by Iwadare specifically for this release, titled “Overcome”.
Twelve Doors: Tribute to Noriyuki Iwadare can be pre-ordered now on CD and 2xLP vinyl; both variants come with a 12-page booklet with shipping expected this summer.
In related news, Wayô Records is also releasing the Grandia Memorial Soundtrack collection on CD and vinyl as well as a limited-edition Grandia music box; pre-orders for both releases are available now from the music label’s online store.
