13 select tracks from the game’s score will be pressed on vinyl.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that pre-orders for the SCARLET NEXUS double-vinyl soundtrack album are available now exclusively from its online store.

SCARLET NEXUS is an upcoming role-playing game developed by Bandai Namco Studios. The game is set in the distant future where a psionic hormone has been discovered within the human brain, leading people to develop world-changing, extra-sensory abilities.

13 tracks from the game’s multi-genre soundtrack will be released as a 2xLP album, pressed on two 180g vinyl discs and housed in a gatefold sleeve with exclusive album artwork.

The eclectic soundtrack features pop and electronic dance music to set the game’s overall tone, rock music in the combat sequences, jazz fusion to complement the relaxed atmosphere, and noise music to create a feeling of unease for the player. Japanese instruments have been incorporated into the game’s score, taking inspiration from traditional court music.

“The melodies, tones, and spaces in the music give it a futuristic feeling to express the deep, profound world that players will discover, while there is also a sprinkling of “nostalgia,” which can be felt in the New Himuka 90s neopunk retro cityscape as well,” the soundtrack description reads.

Pre-orders are available now exclusively from the Bandai Namco online store with shipping in October.

During Tokyo Game Show 2020, it was revealed that Japanese rock band THE ORAL CIGARETTES would be contributing the song “Dream In Drive” to SCARLET NEXUS’ soundtrack; the track from the band’s latest album Suck My World serves as the game’s main theme. An official music video was also released, featuring cut sequences from the game.

SCARLET NEXUS will be released on 25th June for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows.
