Pre-orderes available now with shipping expected this summer.

Wayô Records has announced that the soundtrack to the 1997 Sega Saturn role-playing game Grandia is getting released on CD and vinyl with pre-orders available now from the music label’s online store.

The Grandia Memorial Soundtrack collection comprises three 180g vinyl discs – two of which contain the game’s original soundtrack, composed by Noriyuki Iwadare, while the third disc is an arrangement album titled Vent. Each disc is housed in its own illustrated sleeve.

Vent was originally released back in 1998 and has since been out of print in Japan. The album is arranged and performed by Iwadare along with his team of musicians.

The triple-vinyl album comes with a 20-page booklet featuring the artwork of co-director and animator Toshiaki Hontani and character designer Takuhito Kusanagi. The booklet also includes comments by the aforementioned members of the Game Arts development team as well as composer Iwadare and soundtrack producer Isao Mizoguchi.

There are two editions of the Grandia Memorial Soundtrack: the regular ‘Mint Green‘ edition and the ‘Saturn Marble Green‘ collector’s edition, the latter of which is limited to 500 copies and comes with a shikishi and piano score. Both variants are expected to ship this summer.
