Two bands that represent the state of California.

The downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 this week comprises a couple of songs: one by post-hardcore band A Skylit Drive and the other by alternative rock band CAKE.

The following songs will be available from 8th July:

Tracks can be bought individually from the Rock Band Music Store.

The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:

“Too Little Too Late” is the second track off A Skylit Drive’s 2011 album Identity on Fire. “Too Little Too Late” features driving guitar chords reinforced with double bass drum patters as well as synth melodies interplaying with the higher pitched vocals that was part of the quintessential 2000s screamo/post-hardcore sound.

Since the release of their first album in 1994, Northern California band Cake have been the pioneers of their own unique style of music. The title track from their 2001 album, “Comfort Eagle” features their iconic talk-sung vocal delivery, Middle Eastern inspired keyboard sections and an incredibly fun straight-ahead drum part.
