This remake of Monster World IV features voice acting for the first time in the Wonder Boy/Monster World series.

Publisher ININ Games has released a short feature video that showcases the range of voice actress Fairouz Ai in Artdink’s upcoming action-adventure platformer Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World (embedded below).

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is a remake of the 1994 platformer Monster World IV, developed by members of the original Westone Bit Entertainment development team.

Ai will be voicing the game’s protagonist Asha, Rapadagna ruler Praprill XIII, and creature companion Pepelogoo among other characters.

Strictly Limited Games also recently made pre-orders for the physical editions of the game as well as the double-vinyl soundtrack available from its online store.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will be released digitally and physically on 28th May for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Europe, North America, and Australia. The game will also be released for Windows via Steam on 29th June.
