Randomly selected orders will include Rash’s Toadally Rad Adventure cassette.

The music from beat ’em up game Battletoads is getting a double-vinyl release by way of a collaboration between production company iam8bit, developer Rare, and publisher Xbox Game Studios.

Battletoads: Smash Hits comprises two ‘Pimple Pink’ vinyl discs – the first disc contains music from the original 1991 release composed by David Wise (of Donkey Kong Country and Snake Pass), while the second disc contains music from the 2020 Battletoads reboot composed by David Housden (of Thomas Was Alone and Q.U.B.E. 2).

The album is housed in a ‘Kiss My Fist’ 3D pop-up gatefold jacket and features artwork by Alex Pardee.

Pre-orders for this double-vinyl album are available now from the iam8bit online store with shipping expected in Q4 2020.

As a special bonus, 500 randomly selected orders will come with a Rash’s Toadally Rad Adventure cassette tape which contains music from the original Nintendo Entertainment System release, the 1993 sequel Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, the 1994 arcade instalment Battletoads Arcade, and tracks from the new Battletoads reboot not included on the vinyl.

Black Screen Records also has this 2xLP album in stock as a distributed title available for pre-order from its online store.

A green variant of this vinyl release will be available exclusively from the Rare online store.

The Battletoads reboot is available now for Xbox One and Windows.
