The soundtrack to action-adventure game Ary and the Secret of Seasons is available now ahead of the game’s upcoming release next month.
The game’s orchestral soundtrack, composed by Marcus Hedges, comprises 35 tracks of music and is available for purchase from Bandcamp, Google Play, and iTunes. The album can also be streamed from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, and TIDAL.
“Even though this is the first game of the Ary franchise, it feels wildly nostalgic,” said Hedges via a press release. “One of the main things I wanted for the music was for the player to come away from the game whistling or humming at least one of the themes. That’s like a dream come true for me as a composer.”
He added: “It was really important to me that I anchored each theme/vibe to the wonderfully designed towns and regions and their backstories. Through this, I hope that players will be able to hear the music, perhaps even in a different setting away from the game, and have it bring back memories of the respective location and/or part of the story”
Hedges has previously composed numerous orchestral, video game arrangement albums under the name of The Marcus Hedges Trend Orchestra; these include Donkey Kong 64 Symphony, Themes from Ratchet and Clank, and Super Mario: The Classics.
Ary and the Secret of Seasons is developed by eXiin and Fishing Cactus with a release set for 1st September on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
