As announced back in August, the soundtrack to beat ’em up game Battletoads is releasing on vinyl and the green variant exclusive to the Rare Store is now available to pre-order.

The Battletoads: Smash Hits album contains music from two iterations of the game: the original 1991 release – composed by David Wise (Snake Pass and Donkey Kong Country) is on disc one and the 2020 reboot – composed by David Housden (Thomas was Alone and Q.U.B.E. 2) is on disc two.

The 2xLP soundtrack features artwork by Alex Pardee and is housed in a ‘Kiss My Fist’ 3D pop-up gatefold jacket.

Pre-orders are available now ahead of the album’s scheduled release in late February 2021.

The ‘Pimple Pink’ variant is still available to pre-order from the iam8bit online store, at the time of writing, and is expected to ship in Q4 2020; Black Screen Records is also stocking this pink variant as a distributed release.

The Battletoads reboot is developed by Dlala Studios and available for Xbox One and Windows.
