The funding campaign is already over 300% complete.
The composer of the 2010 platformer Super Meat Boy, Danny Baranowsky (The Binding of Isaac and Crypt of the Necrodancer), is releasing the game’s soundtrack on vinyl.
Baranowsky opted to fund this release using Bandcamp’s vinyl pressing service; the campaign is already over 300% funded with 23 days remaining.
The Super Meat Boy! Nice to Meat You LP soundtrack will be released as a double-vinyl album; this release will be pressed on two custom-coloured vinyl discs, housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket, and feature artwork by Karsten Schreurs.
The 2xLP soundtrack comprises 28 tracks of music and comes with the full digital soundtrack which has a total of 70 tracks.
The album is expected to ship in June. Fans can make a pledge on Baranowsky’s Bandcamp page.
“This is a one-time thing – we could make more eventually but I’m not sure if we will,” he said.
Super Meat Boy is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, Linux, macOS, and Windows.
The sequel Super Meat Boy Forever was released in 2020 and is available for Nintendo Switch and Windows (via The Epic Game Store). A release for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Steam is scheduled for 2021.
