The game’s soundtrack will be pressed on marbled, coloured vinyl.
Developer The Game Band and production company iam8bit are collaborating to release the soundtrack to browser-based online baseball game Blaseball on vinyl.
The Blaseball DISCIPLINE 2xLP soundtrack comprises 23 tracks of music by lo-fi rock band the garages and will be pressed on two marbled, coloured vinyl discs. The album features artwork by illustrator Mark Borgions and comes with a vintage-style trading card (art by Niki Waters).
This double-vinyl release was announced at the end of a live stream by the garages on the official Blaseball Twitch channel.
Pre-orders are available now from the iam8bit online store; there are various options to purchase the album as a standalone or bundled with packs of trading cards (each pack contains five cards). Shipping is expected in Q3 2021.
The digital soundtrack can also be pre-ordered from the garages’ Bandcamp page ahead of its full release on 8th May. A preview track, “The Ballad of Unremarkable Derrick Krueger” is out now.
The beta release of Blaseball is available now.
