Elmobo’s metal soundtrack is pressed on ‘Red Splatter’ vinyl.
Developer Headbang Club and music label G4F Records have announced that pre-orders for the Double Kick Heroes triple-vinyl soundtrack are available now.
Double Kick Heroes is a rhythm game with shoot ’em up mechanics wherein players can import their own music, play tracks that have been designed by the community, edit songs, and share various challenges with each other.
The game’s metal soundtrack, composed by Elmobo (Sick Bricks, Nightmare Creatures II, and Dungeon Fever), is pressed on three 180g ‘Red Splatter’ vinyl discs and comprises 40 tracks; the 3xLP album features artwork by pixel artist Guillaume Breton.
“Double Kick Heroes is undoubtedly the soundtrack that I’m most proud of,” Elmobo explained. “For the first time, I was able to make the 100% heavy metal soundtrack I’d always dreamed of, and I got to invite musicians to sing or play solos. Members of Gorod, The Great Old Ones, Sons of Apollo, Klone, Psykup, Archspire, and many others participated in it!
“I was able to cover the entire gamut of my metal preferences, and you’ll most likely catch a couple of nods to the masters of the genre!”
The Double Kick Heroes 3xLP soundtrack can be pre-ordered now from the G4F Records online store with shipping expected in June or July.
The game’s digital soundtrack is split into two volumes and is available for purchase and streaming from major digital platforms.
Double Kick Heroes is available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, macOS, and Windows.
