The music in role-playing game Persona 5 Royal is getting a triple-vinyl release while the Persona 5: Essential Edition 4xLP soundtrack is getting a limited repress.
Persona 5 Royal, which released last year, is the enhanced version of 2016’s Persona 5; the updated version of the game features a new Shujin Academy semester, new areas and characters, and a new story arc.
iam8bit has announced a Persona 5 Royal 3xLP soundtrack album comprising 29 new tracks by the Atlus Sound Team. This triple-vinyl album will feature an “interactive” die-cut window jacket and gold foil inner sleeves. The colour of the discs and album artwork by illustrator Drew Wise have not been announced yet.
Pre-orders will be available from 09:00 PT (17:00 GMT) on 17th December at the iam8bit online store.
As a pre-order bonus, orders placed before 23:59 PT on 31st December (07:59 GMT on 1st January, 2021) will come with a free 7″ vinyl disc containing the Velvet Room theme “Hymn of the Soul”. This 7″ vinyl is exclusive to early pre-orders while the song was previously only available on the Persona 5: Deluxe Edition vinyl box set.
iam8bit has also revealed that the Persona 5: Essential Edition 4xLP release is getting a limited repress with only 1,000 copies available; pre-orders will also be available from 09:00 PT (17:00 GMT) on 17th December but the window will only remain open until 23:59 PT on 31st December (07:59 GMT on 1st January, 2021).
The quintuple-vinyl album contains over 100 hours of jazz, high-tempo pop music, and energetic rock tunes; the eclectic soundtrack includes vocal performances by Japanese soul singer Lyn Inaizumi.
Persona 5 Royal is developed and published by Atlus for PlayStation 4.
