Orchestra led by award-winning composer Lorne Balfe.
One of the live performances at The Game Awards 2020 included the London Philharmonic Orchestra with a Super Mario medley in celebration of the platformer series’ 35th anniversary.
The orchestra, conducted by award-winning composer Lorne Balfe, performed live renditions of Super Mario themes from various console generations, such as Super Mario Bros., Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Odyssey.
Performed at Abbey Road Studios in London, England, the medley clocks in at just under three minutes (embedded below).
Two games featuring the red-capped plumber were shortlisted for the ‘Best Family’ award at this year’s Game Awards: Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit and Paper Mario: The Origami King.
