During Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online, publisher Square Enix announced the release date for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… as well as debuting a trailer for the upcoming action role-playing game.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is developed by Toylogic and an updated version of NieR Replicant, a 2010 Japan-only release for PlayStation 3 which itself is a prequel to NieR: Automata.
This modern version of the game features updated visuals and newly illustrated characters by former Square Enix artist and current CyDesignation director Akihiko Yoshida (of Final Fantasy XIV and Bravely Default).
The trailer (embedded below) shows off some of the game’s locales which are overlaid with the soundtrack by NieR series composer Keiichi Okabe.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is set for release on 23rd April, 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
By pre-ordering the game, customers will get additional digital content comprising a mini soundtrack, an exclusive dynamic theme, a digital wallpaper collection, and an avatar set depending on the platform and retailer.

A special White Snow Edition of the game comes with a Grimoire pin set, a script set containing seven books of dialogue packaged in a hard case featuring artwork by character designer Akihiko Yoshida, a 2-CD soundtrack of newly edited and arranged music, steelbook case featuring artwork by illustrator Koda Kazuma, and a Lunar Tear collector’s box.
