The rapper’s music video will be part of the Fall on My Enemies mission.

During the Ubisoft Forward conference, the publisher revealed that British rapper Stormzy will be appearing in a special mission in the upcoming open-world adventure game Watch Dogs: Legion.

“When we asked Londoners who was an artist who would really reflect and underscore the themes of Watch Dogs: Legion, and speaking up for the oppressed and holding those in power accountable, there was one name that came up over and over again,” said Ubisoft Toronto creative director Clint Hocking.

He added: “[Stormzy] really has used his voice to speak up and fight for social and political change.”

Stormzy will feature in his own mission called Fall on My Enemies which will be available at the game’s launch.

During Ubisoft’s digital press event, a portion of the in-game music video for “Rainfall” – a track featuring R&B singer Tiana Major9 from Stormzy’s 2019 album Heavy is the Head – was premiered. The full music video will be released on 1st October.

“You lot are about to have your minds blown,” Stormzy said. “What they have done in terms of recreating London is the most insane, epic, incredible thing I’ve ever seen, so I’m honoured to be a part of it.”

As part of the reveal, behind-the-scenes footage of some of the motion capture Stormzy performed to portray in-game character Big Mike was shown.

Watch Dogs: Legion is developed by Ubisoft Toronto and will be released on 29th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, and Stadia. The game will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
