Updates for the month of August draw to a close.

This week’s downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 consists of two songs by American and Canadian singer-songwriters Sub Urban and The Weeknd, respectively.

The following tracks will be available from 27th August:

  • Sub Urban – “Cradles”
  • The Weeknd – “Blinding Lights”

Songs can be bought individually.

The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:

Sub Urban, or Daniel Virgil Maisonneuve, is a New Jersey singer, producer and songwriter. “Cradles” skyrocketed Maisonneuve to success in January 2019 by going viral on TikTok well before it hit radio stations. As of now, “Cradles” has over 200 million streams on Spotify. The song is about not wanting to grow up and the beat behind it, while complex and eerie, has some child-like charm to it. If you’re craving something truly unique with a relatable storyline, pick up that microphone and sing along to “Cradles” with Sub Urban.

The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” will be a thrilling new addition to your Song Library this week. “Blinding Lights” is the second single off of the Canadian singer’s fourth and most recent studio album, After Hours. The song peaked at number 1 in over 30 countries and served as The Weeknd’s fifth #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. This synthy, upbeat track has intense retro vibes that will be impossible not to dance around to. The Weeknd sings of his relationship with model Bella Hadid, wishing to rekindle and work on the love they once shared. Serenade someone special to you, or pick up your guitar or drum sticks and feel the serotonin rush through your body while playing “Blinding Lights” in Rock Band.
