Neither bands are strangers to Rock Band 4.

The downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 this week sees the return of American indie pop band AJR and Finnish power metal band Amberian Dawn.

The following songs will be available from 9th July:

  • AJR – “Bang!”
  • Amberian Dawn – “Incubus”

Tracks can be purchased individually.

The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:

AJR consists of three incredibly talented, multi-instrumental brothers – Adam, Jack, and Ryan Metzger. The AJR brothers write and record all of their music together in their NYC apartment. Their style has always been very much their own amidst their DIY freedom, making them stand out in the scene and boosting them to stardom. Earlier this year, the trio released “Bang!”, alongside a thought provoking and theatrical music video. “Bang!” is an anthem for the ages, literally. The song tackles the awkward, in-between phase of growing up and becoming an adult. At some point in everyone’s lives, we’re faced with a ton of responsibility, bills, and various life stresses, all the while still feeling like a kid who isn’t quite ready for it all. The song itself, much like the accompanying music video, feels theatrical with a lot of horns and explosive beats. “Bang!” by AJR is, for sure, a song you’ll be singing to yourself both in and out of Rock Band.

Finnish powerhouses Amberian Dawn are back in Rock Band 4 with another RBN track – “Incubus”. “Incubus” is the second song off of The Clouds of Northland Thunder, which is Amberian Dawn’s second studio album. The song features the band’s iconic dramatic, melodic style and is sure to pose a challenge to Rock Band players. Do you have the fortitude to keep up with the intense drum patterns, dynamic guitar and bass parts, or even Heidi Parviainen’s powerful vocals?
