Horror role-playing game from Compile Heart out in August.
Idea Factory International has revealed when its upcoming horror role-playing game Death end re;Quest 2 will be released as well as the contents of the Steam Deluxe Pack and Limited Edition, the latter of which can be ordered from the publisher’s online store.
Death end re;Quest 2 is set for release on 25th August in North America and 28th August in Europe for PlayStation 4 and Windows via Steam.
Players who purchase the Steam Deluxe Pack will get two digital art books (Character Art Collection & Backgrounds and Concept Sketches Collection) totalling 26 pages, six desktop wallpapers (three resolutions for each design), a digital soundtrack (24 tracks of music), and a Death end re;Quest 2 PC theme.
Aside from the standard edition, both platforms will also be getting the Limited Edition which includes a copy of the game, Death end re;Quest 2 steel game case, hardcover art book (The Chronicle of Le Choara), soundtrack CD, Wordsworth dorm bag, Death end re;Quest 1.5 novel, an exclusive trading card, and a collector’s box.
There’s some minor differences between the limited editions for PlayStation 4 and Steam: the former also comes with a reversible cover whereas the latter comes with a digital copy of the game (the Steam download code will be sent to the customer via email). The Limited Edition for Steam also includes the aforementioned Steam Deluxe Pack (download code also sent via email).
“Bug Fixer” by musical group Gesshoku Kaigi serves as the opening theme which is featured in the game’s opening sequence. The group also composed the music for the first Death end re;Quest.
