Available for purchase from 13th June.
The soundtrack to the 1990 arcade side-scrolling beat ’em up game Alien Storm is getting released on vinyl with three variants available to choose from when they go on sale tomorrow on the Data Discs online store.
Composed by Keisuke Tsukahara, the Alien Storm electronic soundtrack has been pressed on a 180g vinyl disc; the audio has been sourced from the original hardware. Tsukahara was also the composer of the soundtrack to side-scrolling action game Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi.
The Alien Storm soundtrack vinyl will be available to order from 13th June in a choice of three colourways: ‘Classic Black’, ‘Slime Green’, and a limited-edition ‘Translucent Seafoam Green with Slime Green and Brown Splatters’.
The 17-track album comes with a lithographic print and an obi strip; the vinyl is housed in a heavyweight sleeve with textured embossed and spot glossed alien tentacles on the front and back.
Two tracks – “Cybernate-Q” and “Ulcer” – have been included in an album sampler and uploaded to Data Discs’ SoundCloud (embedded below).
Shipping is expected on or before 15th July.
