The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:
Nonpoint’s “Alive and Kicking” is jumping into Rock Band. This song is one of two singles that were released from the band’s fourth album, To the Pain. “Alive and Kicking” features passionate vocal delivery with a heavy driving chorus and intense breakdown. Bassists will be put to the test with complex riffs. Got what it takes?
Show us your wild side by playing the iconic track “Born to Be Wild” from legendary group Steppenwolf. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame started inducting songs in 2018, and “Born to Be Wild” was among the first six. With a guitar line you probably already know and emulate all the time, supported by a groovy bassline that keeps driving the energy forward, there’s no shortage of fun for your whole band. While the track was originally written as a ballad, the musical expertise of Steppenwolf delivered this high energy, playfully rebellious track. The lyrics are packed with clever and empowering phrases that demand the lead singer to commit to the message.
