R&B and instrumental rock.
The downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 this week includes a song by American R&B singer-songwriter H.E.R. and another by Mexican acoustic duo Rodrigo y Gabriela.
The following tracks will be available from 12th September:
- H.E.R. – “21”
- Rodrigo y Gabriela – “Buster Voodoo”
Tracks can be purchased individually.
The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:
We’re starting off the week with H.E.R.’s “21”. Riding high off two R&B Grammy wins earlier this year (out of five nominations), “21” is the latest single from H.E.R.’s new album I Used To Know Her. The song’s focused on a bass groove, with smooth vocals on top. Drums and guitar are comparatively sparse, but still have a nice groove, and the acoustic guitar offers plenty of movement.
Rodrigo y Gabriela are an acoustic guitar duo from Mexico, with a career spanning everything from movie soundtrack work to performing in the White House in 2010. “Buster Voodoo”, from their 2009 release 11:11, is a fun, two-part track for strings players. Guitar and bass charts each play different guitars. Bassists get the faster strumming and chords, while guitarists can expect to see more fret movement and the two solos.
