The first update for the month of May.

This week’s downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 comprises three songs by groups all coming from the United States: a track by heavy metal band All That Remains, something from metal band In This Moment, and a song by rock band Vampire Weekend.

The following tracks will be available from 2nd May:

  • All That Remains – “Hold On”
  • In This Moment – “The Gun Show”
  • Vampire Weekend – “Harmony Hall” *

* Part of the Rock Band Rivals Season 11 Spotlight Pass.

Tracks can be bought individually.

The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:

Our first new DLC track this week, “Hold On”, is just one of the knockout hits from All That Remains’ fourth album For We Are Many. “Hold On” peaked in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, following in the footsteps of the album, which peaked in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. This song is a ride from beginning to end, switching between fast technical passages and powerful halftime choruses. Although every instrument in this lineup brings intensity, the drum and guitar parts are especially challenging with rapid riffs and fills.

Up next we have a standout In This Moment track, “The Gun Show”. The song opens In This Moment’s third studio album A Star-Crossed Wasteland, which came in at #1 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart. Opening with spacey guitar, In This Moment dives right in with a dirty bass line, heavy drums, and a distorted guitar solo. The fiery vocal line requires intensity and passion as it builds up, so you’ll need the energy of your bandmates to emulate it.

Rounding out the new DLC this week is Vampire Weekend’s “Harmony Hall”, the lead single from their album Father of the Bride, which is releasing this Friday, May 3rd. “Harmony Hall” picked up right where the band left off, reaching #1 on Billboard’s U.S. Adult Alternative Songs and Top 10 on both the U.S. Alternative and Hot Rock Songs charts. The track features moving guitar parts under a vocal line that floats over the instrumentals. Don’t be fooled by the solid bass and drum grooves – as mellow as this song sounds, it’s the details that make it challenging.

Developed and published by Harmonix, Rock Band 4 is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
