“Is that what we get for playing too close to the sun?”
Ahead of Close to the Sun‘s upcoming release, fans can enjoy the horror game’s titular single by Porcelain Pill through a variety of outlets.
Developed by Storm in a Teacup, Close to the Sun is a first-person horror game that’s set in the 19th century aboard the Helios – a research centre created from the mind of futurist engineer Nikola Tesla – out in the middle of international waters.
“When the opportunity arose to work with Storm in a Teacup and create a single to accompany Close to the Sun, I was really excited,” said Adam Scott-McGuinness, founder of folktronica project Porcelain Pill.
“The imagery, story and reference to mythology resonated with everything I am as a songwriter. The game has become the catalyst for the best music I have created to date,” he said.
The single “Closer to the Sun” is available now to stream on YouTube as well as Spotify. It can also be purchased from Porcelain Pill’s Bandcamp page.
Close to the Sun will be released on 2nd May for PC and available exclusively from the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders come with a digital art book.
The game is also scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
