Fortnite composer Pinar Toprak has announced that she will be scoring the soundtrack to upcoming superhero film Captain Marvel.

She composed the music to season three of the sandbox survival game developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games, describing the experience as “… an absolute pleasure working with the entire team at Epic Games to provide even more depth and content for an awesome game like Fortnite!”

Posting on her Instagram account, Toprak made the announcement that she will be scoring the Captain Marvel film, starring Brie Larson as the title character.

“I’m so thrilled to finally announce that I will be scoring the upcoming CAPTAIN MARVEL,” said Toprak. “It’s an incredible honor to be a part of the Marvel Universe. So many thoughts racing through my head. And the main one is gratitude. I have so many people to thank for helping me on this journey… ”

Toprak has now become the first female composer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Captain Marvel is directed by Anna Boden, and Ryan Fleck, with a scheduled theatrical release in March 2019.
