Retail release of Bloober Team’s psychological-horror game set for 3rd September on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows.

Developer Bloober Team and publishing partner Koch Media have announced the retail release date of psychological-horror game The Medium for 3rd September on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows.

NA Publishing will publish the retail release of the game in Japan by the holiday season.

Aside from the standalone edition of the game, there will also be a special edition that comes with extra items that will be available in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand as well as select retailers and online stores. The Medium – Two Worlds Special Edition includes a copy of the game, steelbook, 32-page hardcover art book, and a soundtrack CD.

The game is scored by Bloober Team composer Arkadiusz Reikowski (Kholat, Layers of Fear 2, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York) and Silent Hill series composer Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill 4, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and Silent Hill: Origins), mixing rock, electro, and orchestral sounds to form haunting and mysterious soundscapes.

The soundtrack to The Medium is already available from digital platforms including Apple Music, Bandcamp, Deezer, iTunes, Spotify, TIDAL, YouTube, and YouTube Music.

The Medium released digitally for Xbox Series X|S and Windows earlier this year in January and so this upcoming retail launch also marks the debut release of the game on Sony’s home console.
