Fans of the soundtrack to Resident Evil Village can now purchase and stream it from a variety of digital platforms.
Resident Evil Village is Capcom’s latest instalment in its Resident Evil series which got a multi-platform release last week; it’s the eighth numbered entry in the long-running survival-horror series.
The soundtrack comprises 25 tracks of music by long-time series composer Shusaku Uchiyama (Mega Man 8 and Resident Evil 2), Marcin Przybyłowicz (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone and Cyberpunk 2077), and Nao Sato. The closing track on the album, “Yearning for Dark Shadows”, is composed by Brian D’Oliveira (Shadow of the Tomb Raider) and performed by singer-songwriter Aga Ujma.
A making-of video has been uploaded to the official Resident Evil YouTube channel, in which D’Oliveira and Ujma talk about the creation of “Yearning for Dark Shadows”. The theme song was also used in the game’s launch trailer.
The Resident Evil Village soundtrack is available now from Amazon Music, Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify, and Steam.
In related news, the soundtrack to Resident Evil Village is also getting a physical release on CD in Japan. Fans outside of Japan can import this soundtrack CD through Playasia.
