The digital album is out worldwide whereas the CD variant is available in Japan.

Basiscape Records has released an official 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim remix album which tells an alternative storyline that branches off from Vanillaware’s 2D, side-scrolling adventure game.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Remix & Arrange Album -The Branched- comprises 14 tracks under the direction of Basiscape composer Yoshimi Kudo (of Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Grand Kingdom). Basiscape is a music and sound production company founded in 2002 by composer Hitoshi Sakimoto (the Final Fantasy and Valkyrie Chronicles series).

Sakimoto and the Basiscape sound team composed the original soundtrack to 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. This arrangement album contains remixes of key themes featured in the game including a song performed by in-game pop idol Miyuki Inaba.

The album features artwork by Vanillaware character designer Yukiko Hirai (Dragon’s Crown).

An album sampler has been uploaded to Basiscape’s YouTube channel (embedded below).

“This album is a musical expression of another aspect of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim,” said Kudo via a press release. “If the game impressed you, you will really enjoy this album.”

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Remix & Arrange Album -The Branched- is available worldwide to purchase from Amazon and iTunes. A CD variant of the album is also available in Japan.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is available for PlayStation 4.
