Josh Kramer’s soundtrack pressed on black, ‘Fox’ orange, and ‘Spirit’ marbled white vinyl.
The soundtrack to third-person exploration game The First Tree is available to order on vinyl in three coloured variants.
The First Tree is developed and published by David Wehle (Home is Where One Starts) with two stories running parallel to each other: one centres on a fox in search of her missing family while the other focuses on a young couple dealing with a tragedy. Players take on the role of the fox as they discover artefacts and stories that will reveal how the two existences are connected.
The game’s predominantly piano-based soundtrack, composed by Josh Kramer, is pressed on a 180g vinyl disc and comprises 10 tracks; the track “Where the Light Goes” features cellist Tina Guo.
This vinyl release is pressed on standard black, ‘Fox’ orange, and ‘Spirit’ marbled white vinyl with pre-orders available now from the Mana Wave Media online store. The album features hand-painted, watercolour artwork by Annie Startseva and is a limited release with only 500 copies available.
Ship to Shore PhonoCo. is also stocking this soundtrack vinyl as a distributed release.
The game’s soundtrack is available digitally and can be purchased and streamed from platforms including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Bandcamp, Deezer, iTunes, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
Sheet music can be purchased from Kramer’s Bandcamp.
The First Tree is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Linux, macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS.
Awesome soundtrack I didn’t even know existed. Vinyl is must-have. Any chance it will be sold in Europe by some local seller?

We don’t have any information on European distribution, at the moment. If any announcements get made, we’ll cover it here. In the meantime, you could try getting in touch with Mana Wave Media via https://www.manawave.co/contact to see if they can offer any more information.

I already have. They said there are no plans on European for The First Tree, not in the first months anyway.
This is what they said in email:
At the moment, The First Tree does not have any distribution deals in place for Europe. Should there be copies left over, they may make their way to an EU distro months down the line (as they want to have time for pre-orders), but there is no guarantee. I’m making sure that all future releases have EU distro, however, so that I and customers do not find ourselves in this position again.
