Composed and arranged by Philippe Vachey.
Music label Wayô Records has made pre-orders for the Little Big Adventure symphonic suite on CD and vinyl available from its online store.
Little Big Adventure is an action-adventure game developed by French studio Adeline Software International and released back in 1994; the game’s alternative title in North America and Asia is Relentless: Twinsen’s Adventure.
In celebration of Little Big Adventure’s 25th anniversary, a symphonic suite of the game’s soundtrack, composed and arranged by Philippe Vachey, is a getting a physical release.
The project was successfully funded via a Kickstarter campaign which involved the original game designers. The Scoring Orchestra was also enlisted to perform the symphonic arrangements.
The CD release consists of two discs: the first disc contains the symphonic suite spread across 12 tracks whereas the second disc comprises tracks from Little Big Adventure and Little Big Adventure 2 as well as several Wayô piano arrangements performed by pianist and composer Nicolas Horvath.
The vinyl release comprises two 140g ‘Ancestral Blue’ vinyl discs; on the first disc is the symphonic suite spread across eight tracks whereas the second disc contains tracks from Little Big Adventure and its sequel, minus the Wayô piano arrangements.
Pre-orders for both variants are available now from the Wayô Records online store where the full tracklisting for both formats can also be found. Shipping for the CD and vinyl releases are expected in spring 2021.
A digital release of the symphonic suite is scheduled for 2021, a few months after the physical releases.
