The game’s score by British Sea Power is getting a triple-vinyl release.
During The Game Awards 2020, a definitive edition of the 2019 detective role-playing game Disco Elysium was announced by developer ZA/UM.
Disco Elysium: The Final Cut adds voice acting, additional quests, and new areas for players to explore. The game is set for a digital release in March 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, macOS, Windows, and Stadia. A follow-up release for Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S is scheduled for summer 2021.
Owners of the original Disco Elysium will get a free upgrade on their particular platform.
A collector’s edition of Disco Elysium: The Final Cut can also be pre-ordered from iam8bit. The standard physical release of the final cut will be available from retailers via Skybound Games with an official reveal to come at a later date.
Alongside the definitive edition announcement, production company iam8bit also revealed that the game’s soundtrack will be releasing on vinyl with pre-orders available now from its online store.
The soundtrack by rock band British Sea Power will be pressed on three vinyl discs and available in a couple of variants; the Open Edition is pressed on black vinyl packed in a tri-fold jacket, whereas the Limited Edition is pressed on coloured vinyl (‘Motorics Yellow’, ‘Physique Red’, and ‘Psyche Purple’) which are housed in an origami puzzle jacket that unfolds to an area measuring 3×3 feet.
The Disco Elysium 3xLP soundtrack comprises 28 tracks with only 2,000 copies of the limited edition available.
Both variants feature album artwork by visual artist Anton Vill and oil painter and ZA/UM art director Alexander Rostov.
The Disco Elysium digital soundtrack is currently available to purchase from Steam.
