Developer Naughty Dog wins multiple awards with its action-adventure game.

The Game Awards 2020 took place last night (or early this morning depending on the time zone) and the winners across 30 different categories have been announced.

Action-adventure game The Last of Us Part II came out on top in the ‘Best Audio Design’ category which recognises “the best in-game audio and sound design”, beating first-person shooter DOOM Eternal, action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima, virtual reality first-person shooter Half-Life: Alyx, and survival-horror game Resident Evil 3.

The Last of Us Part II proved to be a big winner at this year’s Game Awards as it also won ‘Best Game Direction’, ‘Best Narrative’, ‘Innovation in Accessibility’, ‘Best Action/Adventure’, and ‘Game of the Year’.

The game has performed well at award shows for developer Naughty Dog, winning multiple categories at the 38th annual Golden Joystick Awards too, one of which was ‘Best Audio’.
