Digital release set for this year while the physical formats will arrive next year.

Music label Brave Wave Productions has announced it will be releasing the soundtracks to Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Shovel Knight Showdown in one package digitally later this year while the CD and vinyl variants will be available in early 2021.

Shovel Knight: King of Cards is the fourth and final campaign for side-scrolling platformer Shovel Knight while Shovel Knight Showdown released as a standalone multiplayer game – both titles launched in 2019.

Shovel Knight: King of Cards + Showdown: The Definitive Soundtrack will be released as a double-CD album containing all tracks by Jake Kaufman and Manami Matsumae from both games.

The vinyl edition will be pressed on three 150g standard black and limited edition coloured vinyl discs. The first two discs will contain all 41 tracks of music from King of Cards while the third disc will have all nine tracks from Showdown and another five tracks from Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope (the original campaign for Shovel Knight) which weren’t included with the original release of the soundtrack.

This release will be available digitally to purchase from iTunes and streaming from Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify among other platforms.

The CD and vinyl variants will both include a colour booklet containing artwork and liner notes by the series creators. The triple-vinyl release will also come with a download code for the digital soundtrack.

Shovel Knight: King of Cards + Showdown: The Definitive Soundtrack will feature exclusive cover art by illustrator Hitoshi Ariga along with his wife, graphic and colouring artist Ayano Koshiro; the artwork will be revealed next month.

Developer Yacht Club Games and Brave Wave Productions will also be releasing Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove Complete Vinyl Soundtrack Box, a collection of all four vinyl soundtrack releases in the Shovel Knight series – this includes Shovel Knight, Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, and the upcoming Shovel Knight: King of Cards + Showdown. The box will be available as a standalone item.
