Season 19 of Rock Band Rivals starts next week.

This week’s downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 comprises a couple of songs: one by Finnish metal band Amberian and the other by American progressive metalcore band Between the Buried and Me.

The following songs will be available from 22nd October via the Rock Band Music Store:

  • Amberian – “Fate of the Dawn”
  • Between the Buried and Me – “Selkies: The Endless Obssession”

Both tracks were previously available from the Rock Band Network; songs can be purchased individually.

The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:

Rock Band and RBN favorite Amberian Dawn is back with another track, and it is quite the challenge. After a band name change, and the introduction of Heidi Parviainen on vocals, Amberian Dawn released their debut album – River of Tuomi. Upon release, the album hit the charts in Finland. “Fate of the Maiden” made it onto the track list and into the hearts of Rock Band players. All players on all instruments need to bring their A-game to this one, with fast-paced and complicated drum patterns, fierce riffs, and incredible vocals that need to be matched. If you’re up for the challenge, check out “Fate of the Maiden” in Rock Band this Thursday.

Between the Buried and Me is no stranger to the Rock Band catalogue either. This week we’re bringing you “Selkies: The Endless Obsession”. This track has become one of Between the Buried and Me’s most popular, hailing from their third studio album, Alaska. Clocking in at 7 minutes and 26 seconds, “Selkies: The Endless Obsession” is the second longest track on the album. No part of your band will be able to catch their breath until at least 4 minutes in, but guitarists better be ready to shine with a solo that’ll prove tough to master.
