Song submissions are still open for future updates.
Virtual reality rhythm shooter Groove Gunner will be available in early access next week and developer BitCutter Studios has shared some game details ahead of its release.
The game tasks players with shooting targets and blocking projectiles while staying in rhythm to a soundtrack featuring an international roster of independent artists.
BitCutter Studios opted to open submissions for music to be used in the game and the soundtrack features an eclectic mix of genres including electronica, pop, metal, hip-hop, and rock.
Groove Gunner includes an editor in which users have the same tools as the developers to create songs and share their user-generated content with other players; gameplay mechanics like shooting, blocking, and movement can be adjusted, as can the stage and lighting effects.
The developer is still taking submissions for music to be featured in future game updates; songs can be submitted via the game’s official website.
Groove Gunner will be available in early access on 28th October with support for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index, and Windows Mixed Reality.
