The soundtrack to tactical turn-based role-playing game Ikenfell is available now alongside the game across major digital platforms.

The game tasks players with using timing mechanics to power up their attacks as they take on enemies and bosses. Three characters can be chosen from a total of six to engage in battle as players weigh up their unique powers and strengths.

Ikenfell’s soundtrack, composed by music duo Aivi & Surasshu – co-composers of the animated series Steven Universe – alongside Sabrielle Augustin, comprises 75 tracks of chiptune and piano music with guest performances by rapper Sammus, guitarist Stemage, and vocalist Adriana Figueroa among others.

“We wanted to bring some of our experience composing music for Steven Universe to Ikenfell,” explained Aivi & Surasshu via a press release. “We tried to express each characters’ feelings through the music, and we collaborated with vocalists for many of the character themes. At the heart of things, both of us share a deep love for game music.

“The music from The Legend of Zelda is a big influence for us–Ikenfell’s music was inspired by the piano melodies of Breath of the Wild and the dreamy, eccentric chiptunes of Link’s Awakening!”

The Ikenfell soundtrack is out now digitally and available for purchase from Bandcamp and iTunes. The soundtrack can also be streamed from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, TIDAL, and YouTube.

Ikenfell is developed by Happy Ray Games and available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, macOS, and Windows.
