Music composed by Hideki Okugawa and Yuki Iwai.
On Wednesday, Laced Records tweeted out an image containing artwork that had been split into three panels as a clue for its upcoming release. Today, the music label has officially announced that it will be releasing a Street Fighter III trilogy 4xLP vinyl box set.
Street Fighter III: The Collection comprises 72 tracks of music spread across four 180g vinyl discs. The box set contains the soundtracks to the trilogy of Street Fighter III arcade games: Street Fighter III: New Generation, Street Fighter III 2nd Impact: Giant Attack, and Street Fighter III 3rd Strike: Fight for the Future.
The games’ composers Hideki Okugawa and Yuki Iwai have primarily used upbeat, dance music to score the fighting series, including jungle and samba influences.
There will be two variants of the album: standard black and a limited ‘Hadouken blue and white’ vinyl. This release features album artwork by comic book artist Andie Tong.
Pre-orders for Street Fighter III: The Collection are available now from the Laced Records online store with shipping expected in November.
The music label has also revealed that three vinyl releases from the Street Fighter Alpha series will be coming in the months ahead.
