Composed by Kenneth C M Young.

Music from virtual reality platformer ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission is getting a release on vinyl which can be pre-ordered now from a couple of outlets.

ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission is developed by SIE Japan Studio for PlayStation VR and tasks players with finding the other missing members of their robotic crew, sometimes by utilising the game’s 3D audio in order to locate the direction from which their voices are coming. After rescuing a certain number of bots, the end-of-level bosses will be unlocked.

The game’s soundtrack, composed by Kenneth C M Young, has been pressed on an ‘ASTRO white’ vinyl disc and comprises 12 select tracks of music. Some tracks have a vinyl crackling effect which is intentional and part of the audio recording. This album features artwork by designer and illustrator Chris Clancy.

Young’s other video game composer credits include the LittleBigPlanet series, Run Sackboy! Run!, Tearaway Unfolded, and Tethered.

The ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission soundtrack vinyl can be purchased from the Fangamer website.

Black Screen Records is also stocking this release as a distributed title with pre-orders available now from its online store. Shipping is expected in late September.
