A re-recording of a song by Shawn James.

Through a partnership between PlayStation Australia and Sony Music Australia, a rendition of “Through the Valley” by solo artist Shawn James performed by singer-songwriter Tash Sultana has been re-recorded to mark the launch of action-adventure game The Last of Us Part II.

“Through the Valley” was featured in the game’s announcement trailer back in 2016 wherein main protagonist Ellie can be seen playing the song on an acoustic guitar in a dilapidated bedroom.

In this re-recording by Tash Sultana (embedded below), the music video is filmed and directed in a similar fashion minus the run-down environment.

Tash Sultana’s latest single, “Greed”, is set for release on 26th June.

The Last of Us Part II is developed by Naughty Dog, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, and available now for PlayStation 4.
