A song by Converge makes a return from the Rock Band Network catalogue.
The downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 this week features a track by hardcore punk band Converge and another by rock band Falling in Reverse.
The following songs will be available from 25th June:
- Converge – “Dark Horse”
- Falling in Reverse – “Popular Monster”
Tracks can be purchased individually.
The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes:
Converge’s “Dark Horse” is a heavy RBN track from Rock Band 2 that’s sure to put your skills to the test. Converge hails from Salem, MA, right in our backyard. “Dark Horse” is the opening song off of their seventh studio album, Axe to Fall, which is known as their most collaborative album as it features many guest musicians, including members of Cave In, Genghis Tron, and Neurosis. Axe to Fall reached #74 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. “Dark Horse” was written about the passing of a close friend of Converge’s vocalist, Jacob Bannon. Rock Band players will find “Dark Horse” a worthy challenge, with difficult drum patterns, and complex guitar and bass riffs.
Falling In Reverse’s newest hit single “Popular Monster” is the band’s first #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart, earning over 30 million plays on Spotify and 16 million views on YouTube. This ferocious song blends genres and sounds to tell a story about anxiety and depression, struggling with personal demons. “Popular Monsters” is bold and features a gnarly breakdown. Guitarists and drummers, especially – get pumped.
