Series composers Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner are joined by Einar Selvik.
Following last week’s announcement of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, publisher Ubisoft has now revealed the two composers and songwriter tasked with crafting the soundtrack to the latest entry in the open-world adventure series.
Series composers Jesper Kyd (of Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood) and Sarah Schachner (of Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Origins) will be returning to the franchise along with Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Einar Selvik who will be creating original songs for the soundtrack to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Selvik was formerly a drummer for black metal band Gorgoroth as well as a member of Nordic folk music group Wardruna. The musician has composer credits in television shows such as Norsemen and Vikings, the latter of which had him also performing on ancient instruments and vocals.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is developed by Ubisoft Montréal and 14 other studios. The game is set for release this holiday season for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows, and Stadia.
