Two vinyl editions of the Borderlands 3 soundtrack.

Music label Laced Records has just announced the soundtrack to loot-based first-person shooter Borderlands 3 will be released on vinyl in a couple of editions.

The soundtrack is a collection of different genres and styles of music that include electronica, dubstep, blues, and ambient tracks.

Borderlands 3 is composed by series mainstay Jesper Kyd of the State of Decay and Assassin’s Creed series, Michael McCann of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Finishing Move Inc. of Crackdown 3 and Fractured Lands, Raison Varner and Julian Peterson both of Gearbox Software, and jazz pianist Mike Jones of Penn & Teller.

The Deluxe Double Vinyl edition of the Borderlands 3 soundtrack comprises 17 tracks pressed on two 180g discs – one solid white and the other solid red. This 2xLP release will eventually be available from third-party distributors.

Laced Records also has an exclusive limited edition of the Borderlands 3 soundtrack. This 34-track edition has been pressed on four 180g discs – transparent blue, green, red, and purple. The 4xLP album comes with spined sleeves for each of the vinyls and is housed in a rigid outer slipcase.

Both editions are expected to ship in January 2020.

In addition to this announcement, the music from the Borderlands series is available now from major digital platforms including Apple Music, Deezer, iTunes, and Spotify.
