Special editions of The Last of Us Part II include digital soundtrack, and more

North America getting an Ellie Edition of the game.

Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced details of the various special editions of upcoming third-person adventure game The Last of Us Part II.

Alongside the broadcast of the latest game trailer during PlayStation’s State of Play update on Tuesday evening (24th September), three special editions of the post-apocalyptic game have been revealed for the European market.

The Special Edition includes a copy of the game that comes in a steelbook case, 40-page mini art book from Dark Horse, six PlayStation Network avatars, and a PlayStation 4 dynamic theme.

The Digital Deluxe Edition also comes with six PSN avatars and a PS4 dynamic theme, but unlike the Special Edition, it also includes a digital Dark Horse art book, the digital game soundtrack, and a PSN avatar of Ellie’s tattoo.

The Collector’s Edition includes the aforementioned contents of the Digital Deluxe Edition but also comes with a 12″ statue of Ellie playing her acoustic guitar, the steelbook case, the 48-page mini art book from Dark Horse, Ellie’s bracelet, six enamel pins, a set of five stickers, lithograph art print, and a thank-you letter.

Pre-orders of any edition of the game also comes with bonus in-game items: a crafting training manual and an ammo capacity upgrade.

There is, however, one more edition of The Last of Us Part II that will be available in North America.

The Ellie Edition comes with all the items mentioned in the Collector’s Edition, along with Ellie’s backpack and a 7″ vinyl featuring music from the game soundtrack.

Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, The Last of Us Part II will be released on 21st February, 2020 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
