‘Pizzasplosive Picture Disc’ edition limited to 1,000 copies.
Pre-orders for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (released in Europe as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: Turtles in Time) soundtrack vinyl will be available from this Thursday on the iam8bit website.
Originally released for the arcades and then ported to the Super Nintendo in the early ’90s with the new title Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (again swapping out the ‘Ninja’ with ‘Hero’ for European territories), the side-scrolling beat ’em up game has had its soundtrack by Mutsuhiko Izumi remastered and ready to be released on vinyl in a couple of variants.
The open edition of the soundtrack vinyl has been pressed on a ‘Big Apple’ green disc with an explosion centre label on one side and a pizza label on the other.

The ‘Pizzasplosive Picture Disc’ edition has been pressed on a two-colour vinyl disc: a yellow side with an image of a pizza and a black side with an explosion design. This is a limited edition with only 1,000 copies available.
Both editions come in a gatefold jacket with flippable art. The retro-style pixel-based album art has been designed by illustrator Aled Lewis.
As noted in the product description, the vinyl also includes some “bonus soundbites”.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time soundtrack vinyl can be pre-ordered from the iam8bit website from 10am PST on 25th July (2am BST).
Update:
The ‘Big Apple’ green open edition can also be pre-ordered from the Black Screen Records website and is expected to ship in late Q4 2019. The ‘Pizzsplosive’ limited edition is exclusive to iam8bit.
