How was snow portrayed in the game?

In a recent video shared by SEGA, Hitoshi Sakimoto, the composer of Valkyria Chronicles 4 talked about the style of music that was used in the action-strategy role-playing game’s soundtrack.

“Valkyria Chronicles has always been a military-themed series, but in Valkyria Chronicles 4 snow is one of the major themes. When the characters are battling, they’re surrounded by snow and I’ve tried to portray the bitter harshness of snow as well as its beauty,” said Sakimoto.

Outside of the Valkyria Chronicles series, Sakimoto’s other game credits include Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, Arcadia Saga, Tekken 6, and Final Fantasy XII.

The composer added: “The main theme of this game is definitely snow.”

Developed and published by SEGA, Valkyria chronicles 4 is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
