Bank Holiday special.

Classic FM has announced that a special edition of its video game music show, High Score, will be making a return on Monday, 28th May.

Show host Jessica Curry, composer and former studio head at The Chinese Room, will be presenting the first ever PlayStation in Concert at Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday, 30th May. The upcoming Bank Holiday edition of High Score will serve as a kind of warm up.

At the London concert, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing a selection of music from popular video games from the past two decades, including Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, Horizon Zero Dawn, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – for which Curry wrote the BAFTA-winning original score, and more.

The 80-strong orchestra will be performing alongside the City of London Choir. Ticket prices range from £20-£65.

On the special High Score show, Curry will be playing tracks from the aforementioned games, as well as classical pieces that have influenced her as a composer and musician.
