The latest jazz album in the Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series is produced by Stardew Valley developer and composer ConcernedApe.
Scarlet Moon Records has announced the latest release in its long-running Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series and it’s predominantly produced by a particular composer.
Prescription for Sleep: Stardew Valley is the eleventh album in the music label’s jazz album series which features GENTLE LOVE – the music duo comprising composer and saxophonist Norihiko Hibino and pianist AYAKI – only this time, Stardew Valley developer and composer Eric Barone (ConcernedApe) has been drafted in to produce the album.
“It was a huge honor receiving ConcernedApe’s message indicating he was a fan of the series and asking if we would consider producing a volume dedicated to Stardew Valley,” said Scarlet Moon founder Jayson Napolitano. “I almost feel bad that we turned things around and put him to work, but I must say having the personal touch of the composer and creator of Stardew Valley makes this volume all that much more meaningful.”
The album comprises 12 tracks of music, 11 of which are Stardew Valley themes that have been selected and arranged by ConcernedApe. The closing track is an original one by GENTLE LOVE called “Beauty in Seasons”, in which every couple of bars represent a month of the year.
“As a long-time fan of GENTLE LOVE, it’s been an honor and a pleasure to collaborate with them,” said ConcernedApe via a press release. “I believe this is a deeply relaxing and beautiful album.”
Prescription for Sleep: Stardew Valley can be pre-ordered now ahead of its full release on 19th May when it will be available from digital platforms including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and iTunes.
