Repress of the Shenmue soundtrack and a double-album slipcase also available.
It was announced back in June that Data Discs would be releasing the soundtrack to action role-playing game Shenmue II on vinyl. Now the music label has opened pre-orders for three variants of the soundtrack.
The soundtrack is pressed on a 180g vinyl disc and comprises 14 tracks of music by Osamu Murata, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, Ryuji Iuchi, Shinji Otsuka, Koji Sakurai, Takeshi Yanagawa, and Satoshi Miyashita.
The album is available on classic black, translucent green, and a limited-edition translucent green-with-orange vinyl.
The vinyl is housed in a case that features the original cover artwork used for the 2001 release of the game on Dreamcast; the album also comes with two lithographic prints of archival artwork and an obi strip.
Pre-orders for the limited edition will remain open until 13:00 BST on 21st September. Customers who place their orders before then will be guaranteed a copy. The other two variants will stay on sale until stocks last.
All three editions are expected to ship in January, 2021.

A repress of the Shenmue soundtrack on translucent light blue vinyl is also available to pre-order. The album comprises 13 tracks of music by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi, Ryuiji Iuchi, Osamu Murata, and Yuzo Koshiro.
The Shenmue repress is also expected to ship in January, 2021.
For fans looking to own both game soundtracks, a standalone slipcase designed to hold the Shenmue and Shenmue II soundtrack vinyls is also available to pre-order.

The slipcase is made from hardboard with a matt laminated, varnished coating. Artwork features the Phoenix and Dragon Mirrors from the series, both printed with a UV gloss finish.
The Shenmue slipcase can be pre-ordered now with shipping expected in January, 2021.
