Both 2xLPs go on sale this Wednesday.
Mondo has announced it will be restocking the Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 soundtrack vinyls, both of which will be available to order from its online store later this week.
Not only will the music from the first two instalments in the survival-horror series be making a return, fans can also expect other soundtracks from the series to be released in due time.
“We’ve received an outpouring of demand for more Silent Hill in general, so we are actually going to be moving forward with a few more soundtracks in this series,” the announcement reads. “Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.”
The soundtracks to Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 are composed by Akira Yamaoka, who also composed the soundtracks to shoot ’em up Sine Mora, comedy-horror hack-and-slash game Lollipop Chainsaw, and action-horror game Shadows of the Damned.
The composer has recently been in the news as part of the reveal trailer for psychological-horror game The Medium when it was announced by Bloober Team writer Andrzej Mądrzak that Yamaoka will be working with the studio on the next-generation title.
The Silent Hill soundtrack is pressed on two 180g white vinyl discs whereas the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack is pressed on two 180g coloured vinyl discs (beige and dark red with swirl patterns).
Both releases feature new artwork and will go back on sale at 12:00 CST (18:00 BST) on 13th May. Shipping is expected in June.
