Arranged by Kentaro Sato.

Classical music label VGM Classics has started a crowdfunding campaign headed by composer and conductor Kentaro Sato (of the Dissidia Final Fantasy series) for an orchestral CD of Stardew Valley music, originally composed by ConcernedApe.

Several recording sessions with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra took place in Budapest, Hungary during the month of March but as a result of the ongoing coronavirus situation, plans were changed and sessions had to be cancelled.

Currently there’s about 25-28 minutes of music recorded – enough for a medium album. With a fully backed Kickstarter campaign, Sato hopes to release a full album with over 40 minutes worth of music.

The initial goal of $1,500 has been surpassed and now the campaign is aiming to reach its stretch goal of $20,000 for additional recording by 12th May.

Stardew Valley is a country-life role-playing game developed by indie solo developer ConcernedApe (Eric Barone). The game is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, Linux, macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS.
