Video Game Music Box has released the latest instalment in his Music Box Classics series – this time it’s Sonic the Hedgehog that’s got the lullaby treatment.

The new album comprises 10 tracks and puts a new soothing spin on the music from the 1991 fast-paced platform game.

Music Box Classics: Sonic the Hedgehog is available now from Video Game Music Box’s Bandcamp page. It’s also available to purchase from Google Play and iTunes, and can be streamed from services including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Napster, Spotify, and TIDAL.

The composer, who also performs under his name of Diwa de Leon and alias of String Player Gamer, recently released the previous entry in the series Music Box Classics: Persona 5 and before that, Music Box Classics: Octopath Traveler.

Other albums in the lullaby series include several Final Fantasy releases as well as the initial seven albums that kicked off the Music Box Classics.

At the time of writing, there are 18 albums in the series that pays tribute to video game franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, The Elder Scrolls, and more.
